Mohamadreza Mohamadhoseini

CEO, Hoorban Iranian Trading Group

There was never too little information. The problem was finding a path through it.

I am Mohamadreza Mohamadhoseini, CEO of Hoorban Iranian Trading Group. This page tells the story of building a system, failing at it, and what got built afterwards.

See the work

Chapter one

Noise

The problem was always one of two things: not enough information, or not enough connection. Building both moves any system forward.

Chapter two

The first connections

The connections appeared when I stopped looking for an answer and started looking for a pattern.

Chapter three

Building Emoteh

We registered Berna Bazaar and I built Emoteh: an electronic trading complex, with a different approach.

It ran

It was built. It ran. It had real users.

Chapter four

The break

But it did not last.

What was left

The problem was never technical. The team it needed was not built, and the network it needed never formed.

Chapter five

A human network

From then on, I built the network first and the system second.

Chapter six

A traditional organisation

At Tehran Chemie the problem was no longer building something. It was changing an organisation.

Head of e-commerce development, 2020 to 2025

Chapter seven

Data into decisions

Data became worth something when it reached a commercial decision — and that decision was where nobody was looking.

OTC sales growth strategy; the client's name is withheld.

Chapter eight

One unit

Every scale starts from a single unit — and it is that unit that has to be right.

Darubin — a team of thirty to thirty-five, from content to engineering

Chapter nine

The threshold

The path ran out of the hall.

Hoorban

Hoorban is not the end of the path. It is where it continues.
